Hip Hop City – Vol. 1 by Drum Sample Shop is a cinematic, groove-driven hip hop drum sample pack designed for TV, film, and modern production. Inspired by the raw textures of 90s hip hop and refined for today’s workflows, this pack delivers authentic, understated drum sounds that support mood, emotion, and storytelling.

Rather than chasing trends, Hip Hop City focuses on feel — tight, punchy one-shots and movement-driven loops that place you right in front of the kit. These drums are designed to sit naturally under dialogue, vocals, and picture without overpowering the mix.

Created in collaboration with Daddy Knapps, a respected drummer and vibe architect, this pack blends organic, human-played drums with classic hip hop textures. Knapps shaped each sound for depth, warmth, and restraint — making them ideal for sync placements, film cues, and emotionally driven tracks.

To expand versatility, the pack also includes a classic 808 and a vintage DD7 drum machine, both treated with the Drum Sample Shop approach for cohesion and character.
