The DIY Snare Drum Sample Pack delivers the bright, cutting crack of a steel snare with a character all its own a one-of-a-kind instrument built from the ground up for producers who want attack, warmth, and a sound that doesn't come off the shelf.

At the center of this pack is a truly custom snare, assembled part by part by Drum Sample Shop co-founder Payden Hilliard himself. It's built around a bright, punchy steel shell full of crack and attack, then taken a step further with wood hoops an unconventional pairing that gives the drum a distinctive feel and tonal character you won't find in a traditional steel snare.

Recorded at Drum Sample Shop headquarters. The same home studio where we captured US x UK, King Gong, Black Stallion, and ACRO-MAN. The snare was sampled across four tunings and four dampening treatments, preserving the full range of the instrument. From bright, articulate cracks to warm, dry, vintage thwacks, every articulation lands mix-ready, whether you're layering it in or letting it stand on its own.
